| OUR CONSULTANT Sara Silverman has over 25 years experience in the animal care industry including equine management and training, pet grooming, canine training, and teaching. Ms Silverman graduated with honors from Augusta State University with a degree in Psychology. She studied Animal Behavior and experimental psychology among many other diverse subjects such as archeology and pre-law studies. Following her undergraduate degree, Ms Silverman went on to obtain a Master's degree from the department of Animal Science at Auburn University. Ms Silverman's degree is in Equine and Companion Animal Management and her concentration is in Animal Behavior, with a specialty in companion animal behavior problems. Ms Silverman's research dealt with crib-biting in horses and Psychopharmacology in companion animals. After graduation, Ms Silverman returned to her home in Aiken, SC and began working as an Animal Behaviorist. She owns 1 horse, a Thoroughbred gelding, who mostly stands around cribbing, but occasionally does a little dressage, his goat, Billy, a greyhound/pointer mix and a new addition to the family, an Australian Cattle Dog who came for training and never left.
